The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "An oath is binding according to what your companion accepts as truthful from you."Qutayba's version reads, "According to what your companion has confirmed as truthful from you."
حدثنا قتيبة وأحمد بن منيع المعنى واحد قالا حدثنا هشيم عن عبد الله بن أبي صالح عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ اليمين على ما يصدقك به صاحبك وقال قتيبة على ما صدقك عليه صاحبك
