The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If a trotter were given to me as a gift, I would accept it, and if I were invited to a meal of one, I would respond."
حدثنا أبو بكر محمد بن عبد الله بن بزيع حدثنا بشر بن المفضل حدثنا سعيد عن قتادة
قال رسول الله ﷺ لو أهدي إلي كراع لقبلت ولو دعيت عليه لأجبت
[Sahih] Ibn Hibban (Mawarid) also recorded it, no. 1065, from the hadith of Saeed bin Abu Aruba, with the same wording. The hadith has corroborating narrations in Bukhari, no. 2568, 5178, and elsewhere.There are also narrations on this subject from Ali [Abu Dawud, no. 4043], Ayesha [Bukhari, no. 2574], Mughira bin Shuba [I did not find it], Salman [Ahmad, 5/437], Muawiya bin Hayda [mentioned previously, no. 656], and Abdul-Rahman bin Alqama [Nasai, no. 3789].
