[Its chain of transmission is hasan]. Abu Dawud transmitted it in the chapter on Judgments, in the section on the disapproval of bribery, no. 3580, and Ibn Majah transmitted it, no. 2313, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Dhib, with the same wording. Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 586, as did Hakim, 4/102, 103, and Dhahabi concurred with him.
