The Messenger of Allah ﷺ borrowed a young camel and repaid it with one better than what he had borrowed, saying, "The best of you are those who repay their debts in the best manner."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا وكيع عن علي بن صالح عن سلمة بن كهيل عن أبي سلمة
استقرض رسول الله ﷺ سنا فأعطاه سنا خيرا من سنه وقال خياركم أحاسنكم قضاء
Agreed upon, and Muslim reported it in the Book of Musaqah, chapter on the permissibility of borrowing an animal and the desirability of repaying with something better than what was owed, hadith no. 1601, from Abu Kurayb, and Bukhari, hadith no. 2305, from the hadith of Salama bin Kuhayl with the same wording.
