The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Any sermon that does not contain the testimony of faith is like a severed hand."
حدثنا أبو هشام الرفاعي حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن عاصم بن كليب عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ كل خطبة ليس فيها تشهد فهي كاليد الجذماء
[Sahih]. Abu Dawud also narrated it in the Book of Manners, chapter on the sermon, hadith no. 4841, from the hadith of Asim bin Kulayb through this route, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith no. 1994, 579.
