Abdullah bin Masud reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us the declaration of faith in prayer and the declaration of faith for a need.He said that the declaration in prayer is, "All greetings belong to Allah, and all prayers and all good things. Peace be upon you, Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger."And the declaration for a need is, "Praise belongs to Allah. We seek His help and His forgiveness, and we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own souls and from the wrongs of our deeds. Whomever Allah guides, none can lead astray, and whomever He leaves astray, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger." Then he recites three verses.Abthar said that Sufyan Thawri explained the three verses to us as being, "Fear Allah as He ought to be feared, and do not die except as Muslims" [Al Imran 3:102], "And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and fear breaking the ties of kinship. Indeed, Allah is ever watchful over you" [Nisa 4:1], and "Fear Allah and speak words that are upright" [Ahzab 33:70].

عن عبد الله قال

علمنا رسول الله ﷺ التشهد في الصلاة والتشهد في الحاجة قال التشهد في الصلاة التحيات لله والصلوات والطيبات السلام عليك أيها النبي ورحمة الله وبركاته السلام علينا وعلى عباد الله الصالحين أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وأشهد أن محمدا عبده ورسوله والتشهد في الحاجة إن الحمد لله نستعينه ونستغفره ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا وسيئات أعمالنا فمن يهده الله فلا مضل له ومن يضلل فلا هادي له وأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وأشهد أن محمدا عبده ورسوله ويقرأ ثلاث آيات قال عبثر ففسره لنا سفيان الثوري {اتقوا الله حق تقاته ولا تموتن إلا وأنتم مسلمون} {واتقوا الله الذي تساءلون به والأرحام إن الله كان عليكم رقيبا} {اتقوا الله وقولوا قولا سديدا}
