The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to visit the sick, attend funerals, ride a donkey, and accept the invitation of a slave. On the day of Banu Qurayzah, he rode a donkey with a halter made of palm fiber and a saddle of palm fiber upon it.
حدثنا علي بن حجر أخبرنا علي بن مسهر عن مسلم الأعور
كان رسول الله ﷺ يعود المريض ويشهد الجنازة ويركب الحمار ويجيب دعوة العبد وكان يوم بني قريظة على حمار مخطوم بحبل من ليف عليه إكاف من ليف
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ibn Majah narrated it in Kitab al-Zuhd, chapter on disassociating from arrogance and having humility, hadith no. 4178, from the hadith of Muslim al-Awar, and it is daif.
