The Prophet ﷺ said, "Say, He is Allah, the One is equal to a third of the Quran."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, "I do not know of a chain of narration longer than this."
أخبرنا محمد بن بشار قال حدثنا عبد الرحمن قال حدثنا زائدة عن منصور عن هلال بن يساف عن ربيع بن خثيم عن عمرو بن ميمون عن ابن أبي ليلى عن امرأة
عن النبي ﷺ قال قل هو الله أحد ثلث القرآن قال أبو عبد الرحمن ما أعرف إسنادا أطول من هذا
[hasan] Tirmidhi reported it, no. 2893 (see the preceding hadith, no. 995), from Muhammad bin Bashshar with the same chain, and he said, "Hasan." It is also in al-Kubra, no. 1068, and the hadith has very many corroborating narrations.The woman is the wife of Abu Ayub, as stated in Sunan Tirmidhi. Abdul-Rahman is Ibn Mahdi, Zaida is Ibn Qudama, and Mansur is Ibn Mutamir.
