Anas bin Malik reported,
The Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, and Umar 
used to begin their recitation with "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" [Fatihah 1:1].

[Sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, Prayer, chapter on what has been said about opening the recitation with "Praise be to Allah..." Hadith: 246, from Qutayba with this chain, and he said, hasan sahih, and it is in Kubra, Hadith: 975. Bukhari also reported it, Adhan, chapter on what is said after the takbir, Hadith: 743, and Muslim, Prayer, chapter on the argument of those who say the basmalah is not recited aloud, Hadith: 399, from the hadith of Qatada with this chain.
