He reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was leading us in prayer when a man came in, entered the mosque out of breath, and said, "Allah is the greatest. All praise belongs to Allah, abundant, good, and blessed praise."When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his prayer, he asked, "Which of you spoke those words?"The people remained silent.He said, "He said nothing wrong."The man replied, "It was I, Messenger of Allah. I came short of breath and said them."The Prophet ﷺ said, "I saw twelve angels racing to be the one to take those words up."
أخبرنا محمد بن المثنى قال حدثنا حجاج قال حدثنا حماد عن ثابت وقتادة وحميد
أنه قال كان رسول الله ﷺ يصلي بنا إذ جاء رجل فدخل المسجد وقد حفزه النفس فقال الله أكبر الحمد لله حمدا كثيرا طيبا مباركا فيه فلما قضى رسول الله ﷺ صلاته قال أيكم الذي تكلم بكلمات فأرم القوم قال إنه لم يقل بأسا قال أنا يا رسول الله جئت وقد حفزني النفس فقلتها قال النبي ﷺ لقد رأيت اثني عشر ملكا يبتدرونها أيهم يرفعها
