Fadl and I came riding a female donkey of ours while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was leading the people in prayer at Arafah. He then mentioned something to the effect that we passed in front of part of the row, dismounted, and left the donkey to graze. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said nothing to us about it.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Knowledge, chapter "When the hearing of a young child is valid," hadith no. 76, from the hadith of Zuhri, through this same chain. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Prayer, chapter "The screen of one praying, and encouragement to pray facing a screen, etc.," hadith no. 504/256, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna. It is also in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 828.
