We set out with Ibn Umar from Mecca. That night he kept traveling with us until evening came on, and we thought he had forgotten the prayer. We said to him, "The prayer."He remained silent and continued riding until the twilight was about to disappear. Then he dismounted and prayed, and the twilight vanished, so he prayed Isha. Then he turned to us and said, "This is what we used to do with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ whenever he was pressed to travel quickly."

أقبلنا مع ابن عمر من مكة فلما كان تلك الليلة سار بنا حتى أمسينا فظننا أنه نسي الصلاة فقلنا له الصلاة فسكت وسار حتى كاد الشفق أن يغيب ثم نزل فصلى وغاب الشفق فصلى العشاء ثم أقبل علينا فقال هكذا كنا نصنع مع رسول الله ﷺ إذا جد به السير
