The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Drink from any vessel, but do not become intoxicated."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, this hadith is unreliable. Abu Ahwas, Salam bin Sulaym, made an error in it, and we do not know of anyone among the companions of Simak bin Harb who corroborated him in narrating it. Simak himself was not strong as a narrator, and he was prone to accepting suggestions in his narration.Ahmad bin Hanbal said, Abu Ahwas used to make mistakes in this hadith. Sharik differed from him in both its chain of transmission and its wording.
