The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had certain supplications he never abandoned. He used to say, "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, and from being overpowered by Some men."
[sahih] This is found in Kubra, hadith no. 7885. Ibn Ishaq narrated with "an" (indicating a possible break in the chain), but the hadith has many corroborating narrations. Ibn Fudayl's name is Muhammad.
