The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the heat becomes intense, delay the prayer until it cools down, for the intensity of the heat is from the blast of Hell."
أخبرنا قتيبة بن سعيد قال حدثنا الليث عن ابن شهاب عن ابن المسيب وأبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن
إن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا اشتد الحر فأبردوا عن الصلاة فإن شدة الحر من فيح جهنم
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Mosques, chapter on the recommendation of delaying Dhuhr until it cools in extreme heat, etc., hadith no. 180/615, from Qutayba. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Prayer Times, chapter on delaying Dhuhr in extreme heat, hadith no. 536, from the hadith of Ibn Shihab, with the same chain, but Abu Salama is not mentioned in it. It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 1489.
