Ibrahim reported,

A woman struck her co-wife with a stone while she was pregnant and killed her. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled that the compensation for what was in her womb was a slave, male or female, and he placed the blood-money for the woman upon her killer's paternal male relatives. They said, "Are we to pay compensation for one who did not drink, did not eat, and did not cry out at birth? The blood of such a one should be disregarded."He replied, "Is this rhymed speech like that of the Bedouins? It is as I have told you."
