A man from Huzayl had two wives. One of them struck the other with a tent pole, causing her to miscarry.Someone said, "What do you say about one who has neither eaten, nor drunk, nor cried out, nor even given a sound at birth?"He replied, "Is this rhymed prose like the rhymed prose of the Bedouins?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ judged in this case that compensation of a male or female slave be paid, and he placed this obligation upon the woman's paternal male relatives.Amash transmitted it as mursal.

أن رجلا من هذيل كان له امرأتان فرمت إحداهما الأخرى بعمود الفسطاط فأسقطت فقيل أرأيت من لا أكل ولا شرب ولا صاح فاستهل فقال أسجع كسجع الأعراب فقضى فيه رسول الله ﷺ بغرة عبد أو أمة وجعلت على عاقلة المرأة أرسله الأعمش
