A woman from the tribe of Banu Lihyan struck her co-wife with a tent pole and killed her. The woman who was killed was pregnant. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled that the paternal male relatives of the killer must pay the blood-money for the slain woman, and a slave (male or female) as compensation for the child in her womb.

ضربت امرأة من بني لحيان ضرتها بعمود الفسطاط فقتلتها وكان بالمقتولة حمل فقضى رسول الله ﷺ على عصبة القاتلة بالدية ولما في بطنها بغرة
