Regarding this verse, "And know that whatever you take as spoils, a fifth of it belongs to Allah and to the Messenger" [Anfal 8:41], I asked, "How much of the fifth belonged to the Prophet ﷺ?"He replied, "A fifth of the fifth."
أخبرنا عمرو بن يحيى بن الحارث قال حدثنا محبوب قال أنبأنا أبو إسحق عن موسى بن أبي عائشة قال
عن هذه الآية {واعلموا أنما غنمتم من شيء فأن لله خمسه وللرسول} قال قلت كم كان للنبي ﷺ من الخمس قال خمس الخمس
[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Bayhaqi narrated it: 6/338, from the hadith of Musa, through this same chain, and it is also in Al-Siyar by Fazari: 538.
