Ata reported,

Regarding the statement of Allah , "And know that whatever you take as spoils of war, indeed, a fifth of it is for Allah and for the Messenger and for near relatives" [Anfal 8:41], he said, "The share of Allah and the share of His Messenger are one and the same. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would take from it, give from it, place it wherever he wished, and dispose of it however he wished."

في قوله عز وجل {واعلموا أنما غنمتم من شيء فأن لله خمسه وللرسول ولذي القربى} قال خمس الله وخمس رسوله واحد كان رسول الله ﷺ يحمل منه ويعطي منه ويضعه حيث شاء ويصنع به ما شاء
