My mother asked my father for a certain gift, and he gave it to me. She said, "I will not be satisfied until I have the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as a witness."So my father took me by the hand, as I was just a boy, and brought me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "Messenger of Allah, the mother of this boy, the daughter of Rawahah, has asked me for a certain gift, and she would like you to witness it."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Bashir, do you have any other son besides this one?"He replied, "Yes."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Have you given him the same as you have given this one?"He answered, "No."He said, "Then do not call upon me as a witness, for I do not bear witness to injustice."

سألت أمي أبي بعض الموهبة فوهبها لي فقالت لا أرضى حتى أشهد رسول الله ﷺ قال فأخذ أبي بيدي وأنا غلام فأتى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إن أم هذا ابنة رواحة طلبت مني بعض الموهبة وقد أعجبها أن أشهدك على ذلك قال يا بشير ألك ابن غير هذا قال نعم قال فوهبت له مثل ما وهبت لهذا قال لا قال فلا تشهدني إذا فإني لا أشهد على جور
