Abdullah bin Umar reported,

I divorced my wife while she was menstruating, so Umar went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned this to him. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Tell him to take her back, and when she becomes pure, then if he wishes, let him divorce her."I asked Ibn Umar, "Was that divorce counted against her?"He replied, "What would prevent it from being counted? Do you think that if a man acts incapably and foolishly, his action is excused?"
