Ikrima reported,

Regarding Allah's statement , "And those of you who die and leave wives behind should bequeath for their wives a year's maintenance without their being expelled" [Baqarah 2:240], he said it was abrogated by "And those of you who die and leave wives behind, they shall wait concerning themselves four months and ten days" [Baqarah 2:234].

في قوله عز وجل {والذين يتوفون منكم ويذرون أزواجا وصية لأزواجهم متاعا إلى الحول غير إخراج} قال نسختها {والذين يتوفون منكم ويذرون أزواجا يتربصن بأنفسهن أربعة أشهر وعشرا}
