The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prepared Fatimah's wedding outfit consisting of a velvet cloth, a waterskin, and a pillow stuffed with idhkhir grass.
أخبرنا نصير بن الفرج قال حدثنا أبو أسامة عن زائدة قال حدثنا عطاء بن السائب عن أبيه
جهز رسول الله ﷺ فاطمة في خميل وقربة ووسادة حشوها إذخر
Grading, sahih. Ibn Majah related it in the Book of Zuhd, in the chapter "The Bedding of the Family of Muhammad" ﷺ, hadith no. 4152, from the hadith of Ata bin Saaib with this wording, and it is also found in Kubra, no. 5573. Hammad bin Salama and others also related it from Ata with the same wording, at greater length (Ibn Saad, 25/8). The hadith also has corroborating reports.
