The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed with Safiya bint Huyayy bin Akhtab for three days on the road from Khaybar when he consummated his marriage with her, and she was among those for whom the veil was instituted.

إن رسول الله ﷺ أقام على صفية بنت حيي بن أخطب بطريق خيبر ثلاثة أيام حين عرس بها ثم كانت فيمن ضرب عليها الحجاب
Bukhari narrated it in "The Book of Military Expeditions," chapter "The Expedition of Khaybar," hadith 4212, from the hadith of Abdul-Hameed, who is Abu Bakr bin Abu Uways, with this wording. It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith 5577.Yahya is Ibn Saeed Ansari.
