The Messenger of Allah ﷺ noticed traces of yellow perfume on Abdul-Rahman and asked, "What is this?"He replied, "I have married a woman for the weight of a date stone in gold."The Prophet ﷺ said, "May Allah bless you. Hold a wedding feast, even if only with a single sheep."
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن ثابت
أن رسول الله ﷺ رأى على عبد الرحمن أثر صفرة فقال ما هذا قال تزوجت امرأة على وزن نواة من ذهب فقال بارك الله لك أولم ولو بشاة
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Marriage, Chapter on the Dowry and the Permissibility of Teaching Quran, an Iron Ring, or Similar Things as a Dowry, etc, hadith no. 79/1427, from Qutayba. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Marriage, Chapter on How to Offer Blessings to a Newly Married Person, hadith no. 5155, from the hadith of Hammad bin Zayd, with the same wording.
