She was asked about it and she said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ set it at twelve uqiyyahs and a nashsh, which equals five hundred dirhams."
أخبرنا إسحق بن إبراهيم قال حدثنا عبد العزيز بن محمد عن يزيد بن عبد الله بن الهاد عن محمد بن إبراهيم عن أبي سلمة قال
عن ذلك فقالت فعل رسول الله ﷺ على اثنتي عشرة أوقية ونش وذلك خمس مائة درهم
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on Nikah, section on the dower and the permissibility of it being teaching of the Quran, an iron ring, or the like, etc., hadith no. 1426, from Ishaq bin Rahawayh, with the same wording. It is also in Kubra, hadith no. 5513.
