Abdullah bin Umar came over to me while I was resting under a large tree on the road to Mecca and asked, "What brought you down under this tree?"I replied, "Its shade brought me down."Abdullah said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When you are between the two rugged mountains of Mina,'" and he gestured with his hand toward the east, "'there is a valley there called as-Sarbah,'" and in the narration of Harith it is called as-Sarar, "'in which there is a large tree. Beneath it the umbilical cords of seventy prophets were buried.'"
أخبرنا محمد بن سلمة والحارث بن مسكين قراءة عليه وأنا أسمع عن ابن القاسم حدثني مالك عن محمد بن عمرو بن حلحلة الدؤلي
عدل إلي عبد الله بن عمر وأنا نازل تحت سرحة بطريق مكة فقال ما أنزلك تحت هذه الشجرة فقلت أنزلني ظلها قال عبد الله فقال رسول الله ﷺ إذا كنت بين الأخشبين من منى ونفخ بيده نحو المشرق فإن هناك واديا يقال له السربة وفي حديث الحارث يقال له السرر به سرحة سر تحتها سبعون نبيا
[Its chain is daif] Ahmad reported it, 138/2, from the hadith of Malik with the same chain, and it is in Muwatta (Yahya), 423/1, 424, and Kubra, hadith no. 3986. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith no. 1029. It has a daif corroborating narration in Abu Yaala, 87/10, hadith no. 5723. Muhammad bin Imran was not deemed reliable by anyone except Ibn Hibban, and Ibn Abdul-Barr said in Tamhid, 13/1264, "It is enough for you that Malik mentioned him in his book."
