The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon to us at Mina, and Allah opened our ears so that we could hear what he was saying even while we were in our tents. The Prophet ﷺ began teaching them their rites of pilgrimage until he reached the throwing of the pebbles, where he indicated pebbles the size of those used for flicking. He instructed the Muhajirun to camp in the front of the mosque and the Ansar to camp in the rear of the mosque.
أخبرنا محمد بن حاتم بن نعيم قال أنبأنا سويد قال أنبأنا عبد الله عن عبد الوارث ثقة قال حدثنا حميد الأعرج عن محمد بن إبراهيم التيمي عن رجل منهم يقال له
خطبنا رسول الله ﷺ بمنى ففتح الله أسماعنا حتى إن كنا لنسمع ما يقول ونحن في منازلنا فطفق النبي ﷺ يعلمهم مناسكهم حتى بلغ الجمار فقال بحصى الخذف وأمر المهاجرين أن ينزلوا في مقدم المسجد وأمر الأنصار أن ينزلوا في مؤخر المسجد
