We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ thinking only of performing Hajj. When we drew near to Makkah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered that whoever had brought a sacrificial animal should remain in his state of ihram, and whoever had not brought one should exit ihram.
