Yaala bin Umaya reported,

A man came to the Prophet ﷺ having entered the state of ihram for umrah, wearing stitched garments and smeared with perfume. He asked, "I have entered ihram for umrah, so what should I do?"The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What would you have done in your hajj?"The man replied, "I would have avoided this perfume and washed it off, and removed these garments."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whatever you would have done in your hajj, do the same in your umrah."

أخبرنا محمد بن منصور قال حدثنا سفيان عن عمرو عن عطاء

عن صفوان بن يعلى عن أبيه

أن رجلا أتى النبي ﷺ وقد أهل بعمرة وعليه مقطعات وهو متضمخ بخلوق فقال أهللت بعمرة فما أصنع فقال النبي ﷺ ما كنت صانعا في حجك قال كنت أتقي هذا وأغسله فقال ما كنت صانعا في حجك فاصنعه في عمرتك
