The Prophet ﷺ said, "If a person in the state of ihram cannot find sandals, let him wear leather socks, but let him cut them below the ankles."
أخبرنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم قال حدثنا هشيم قال أنبأنا ابن عون عن نافع
عن النبي ﷺ قال إذا لم يجد المحرم النعلين فليلبس الخفين وليقطعهما أسفل من الكعبين
[Its isnad is sahih] Ahmad narrated it, 3/2, from Hushaym, through him, and it is also in Kubra, hadith 3660.
