A man stood up and asked, "Messenger of Allah, what garments do you command us to wear while in the state of ihram?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Do not wear shirts, trousers, or leather socks, unless someone does not have sandals, in which case he may wear leather socks but should cut them below the ankles. And do not wear any garment touched by saffron or wars dye. A woman in ihram must not wear a face veil or gloves."
أخبرنا سويد بن نصر قال أنبأنا عبد الله بن المبارك عن موسى بن عقبة عن نافع
أن رجلا قام فقال يا رسول الله ماذا تأمرنا أن نلبس من الثياب في الإحرام فقال رسول الله ﷺ لا تلبسوا القمص ولا السراويلات ولا الخفاف إلا أن يكون رجل له نعلان فليلبس الخفين أسفل من الكعبين ولا يلبس شيئا من الثياب مسه الزعفران ولا الورس ولا تنتقب المرأة الحرام ولا تلبس القفازين
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Recompense for Game, in the chapter on what is forbidden of perfume for a person in ihram, male or female, hadith no. 1838, from the hadith of Musa bin Uqba, as a muallaq narration, and it is found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 3661.
