The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not be persistent in begging. None of you should ask me for something which I then give reluctantly, for there will be no blessing in what I have given him."
أخبرنا الحسين بن حريث قال أنبأنا سفيان عن عمرو عن وهب بن منبه عن أخيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا تلحفوا في المسألة ولا يسألني أحد منكم شيئا وأنا له كاره فيبارك له فيما أعطيته
Graded by Muslim, Zakat, chapter on the prohibition of begging, hadith 1038, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna with the same chain, and it is also in Kubra, hadith 2374.The brother of Wahb is named Hammam, and he is the author of the well-known "Sahihah Manuscript."
