The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said concerning those slain at Uhud, "Wrap them in their blood, for there is no wound inflicted in the cause of Allah but that it will come on the Day of Resurrection bleeding, its color the color of blood and its scent the scent of musk."
أخبرنا هناد عن ابن المبارك عن معمر عن الزهري
قال رسول الله ﷺ لقتلى أحد زملوهم بدمائهم فإنه ليس كلم يكلم في الله إلا يأتي يوم القيامة يدمى لونه لون الدم وريحه ريح المسك
[Its chain of transmission is sahih]. Ahmad reported it, 5/431, from the hadith of Zuhri through this same chain, and he stated explicitly that he heard it, according to what is found there. It is also in Kubra, hadith 2129.Abdullah bin Thalaba was a companion who had seen the Prophet, but his hearing from him is not established. His hadith has supporting narrations, see the two hadiths that follow. It was also narrated by Abdullah bin Thalaba bin Abu Suayr from Jabir bin Abdullah, see Musnad Imam Ahmad, 5/431.
