She was asked about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and she replied, "He would sleep during the early part of the night, then rise. When the last portion of the night came, he would perform the witr prayer, then return to his bed. If he had need of his wife, he would be intimate with her. When he heard the call to prayer, he would spring up. If he was in a state of major impurity, he would pour water over himself, otherwise he would perform ablution, then go out to the prayer."
أخبرنا محمد بن المثنى قال حدثنا محمد قال حدثنا شعبة عن أبي إسحق عن الأسود بن يزيد قال
عن صلاة رسول الله ﷺ فقالت كان ينام أول الليل ثم يقوم فإذا كان من السحر أوتر ثم أتى فراشه فإذا كان له حاجة ألم بأهله فإذا سمع الأذان وثب فإن كان جنبا أفاض عليه من الماء وإلا توضأ ثم خرج إلى الصلاة
Bukhari transmitted it, tahajjud, chapter on one who sleeps at the beginning of the night and stays awake at its end, hadith 1146, from the hadith of Shubah. Muslim also transmitted it, prayer of the traveler, chapter on night prayer and the number of units of prayer the Prophet ﷺ performed at night, and so on, hadith 739, from the hadith of Abu Ishaq through the same chain. It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith 1389.
