The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon to us on the day of Adha, then turned to two white rams with black markings and slaughtered them.
أخبرنا إسمعيل بن مسعود قال حدثنا حاتم بن وردان عن أيوب عن محمد بن سيرين
خطبنا رسول الله ﷺ يوم أضحى وانكفأ إلى كبشين أملحين فذبحهما
Muslim recorded it in the Book of Sacrifices, chapter on its timing, no. 12/1962, from the hadith of Hatim, and Bukhari recorded it in the Book of Sacrifices, chapter on the meat one may desire to eat on the Day of Sacrifice, no. 5549, from the hadith of Ayub Sakhtiyani, with the same chain, and it is also in Al-Kubra, no. 4478.
