The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to go out on the day of Eid, pray two units of prayer, then deliver a sermon and instruct the people to give charity. The women were the most who gave charity. If he had some matter to address, or wished to dispatch an expedition, he would speak about it. Otherwise, he would return home.
