The sun was eclipsed, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed two bowings and two prostrations, then he stood and performed two more bowings and two prostrations, after which the sun became clear again. Ayesha used to say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never performed a prostration or a bowing longer than that." Ali bin al-Mubarak differed with him in this narration.
أخبرنا يحيى بن عثمان قال حدثنا ابن حمير عن معاوية بن سلام عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن أبي طعمة
كسفت الشمس فركع رسول الله ﷺ ركعتين وسجدتين ثم قام فركع ركعتين وسجدتين ثم جلي عن الشمس وكانت عائشة تقول ما سجد رسول الله ﷺ سجودا ولا ركع ركوعا أطول منه خالفه علي بن المبارك
