The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "There is no man who purifies himself on Friday as he has been commanded, then leaves his house and comes to the Friday prayer, listening attentively until he completes his prayer, except that it serves as an expiation for what came before it from the previous Friday."
أخبرنا إسحق بن إبراهيم قال أنبأنا جرير عن منصور عن أبي معشر زياد بن كليب عن إبراهيم عن علقمة عن القرثع الضبي وكان من القراء الأولين
قال لي رسول الله ﷺ ما من رجل يتطهر يوم الجمعة كما أمر ثم يخرج من بيته حتى يأتي الجمعة وينصت حتى يقضي صلاته إلا كان كفارة لما قبله من الجمعة

Sahih. It is in Sunan al-Kubra, no. 1724. Hakam graded it sahih in 1/277, and Dhahabi agreed. Its basic content is in Sahih Bukhari, no. 883, 910, through another route from Salman Farsi. The hadith has supporting narrations.
