He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution and wipe over his leather socks.
أخبرنا العباس بن عبد العظيم قال حدثنا عبد الرحمن قال حدثنا حرب بن شداد عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن أبي سلمة
أنه رأى رسول الله ﷺ توضأ ومسح على الخفين
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Wudu, chapter on wiping over the leather socks, hadith no. 205, 204, from the hadith of Yahya Ibn Abu Kathir with this chain, and it is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 126.
