He came up to the Prophet ﷺ and stood beside him. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah is the Greatest, Possessor of dominion, omnipotence, pride, and majesty." Then he recited Surah al-Baqarah, then he bowed, and his bowing was about as long as his standing. In his bowing he said, "Glory be to my Lord the Magnificent, glory be to my Lord the Magnificent." When he raised his head he said, "To my Lord be praise, to my Lord be praise." In his prostration he would say, "Glory be to my Lord the Most High, glory be to my Lord the Most High." Between the two prostrations he would say, "My Lord, forgive me. My Lord, forgive me."
أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الأعلى قال حدثنا خالد حدثنا شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة عن أبي حمزة سمعه يحدث عن رجل من عبس
أنه انتهى إلى النبي ﷺ فقام إلى جنبه فقال الله أكبر ذو الملكوت والجبروت والكبرياء والعظمة ثم قرأ بالبقرة ثم ركع فكان ركوعه نحوا من قيامه فقال في ركوعه سبحان ربي العظيم سبحان ربي العظيم وقال حين رفع رأسه لربي الحمد لربي الحمد وكان يقول في سجوده سبحان ربي الأعلى سبحان ربي الأعلى وكان يقول بين السجدتين رب اغفر لي رب اغفر لي
