Abu Hurairah said, "There is recitation in every prayer. Whatever the Prophet ﷺ recited aloud for us, we recite aloud for you, and whatever he recited silently, we recite silently. Whoever recites the Opening of the Book has fulfilled the requirement, and whoever recites more, that is better."
حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى أخبرنا يزيد يعني ابن زريع عن حبيب المعلم
قال أبو هريرة في كل صلاة قراءة فما أسمعنا النبي ﷺ أسمعناكم وما أخفى منا أخفيناه منكم ومن قرأ بأم الكتاب فقد أجزأت عنه ومن زاد فهو أفضل
