The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by Ibn Sayyad along with a group of his companions, among whom was Umar bin Khattab, while Ibn Sayyad was playing with the boys near the fortress of Banu Maghalah. He was a young boy at the time. The narration is similar to the hadith of Yunus and Salih, except that Abd bin Humayd did not mention Ibn Umar's report about the Prophet ﷺ going with Ubayy bin Kaab to the date palms.
و حدثنا عبد بن حميد وسلمة بن شبيب جميعا عن عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري عن سالم
أن رسول الله ﷺ مر بابن صياد في نفر من أصحابه فيهم عمر بن الخطاب وهو يلعب مع الغلمان عند أطم بني مغالة وهو غلام بمعنى حديث يونس وصالح غير أن عبد بن حميد لم يذكر حديث ابن عمر في انطلاق النبي ﷺ مع أبي بن كعب إلى النخل
