Abdullah bin Umar was one day at a building of his that was being demolished when he caught sight of a gleaming snake. He said, "Go after this snake and kill it."Abu Lubabah al-Ansari said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid the killing of the snakes that dwell in houses, except for the stub-tailed one and the one with two white streaks on its back, for those two are the ones that snatch away eyesight and cause miscarriages in the wombs of women."
و حدثني إسحق بن منصور أخبرنا محمد بن جهضم حدثنا إسمعيل وهو عندنا ابن جعفر
كان عبد الله بن عمر يوما عند هدم له فرأى وبيص جان فقال اتبعوا هذا الجان فاقتلوه قال أبو لبابة الأنصاري إني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن قتل الجنان التي تكون في البيوت إلا الأبتر وذا الطفيتين فإنهما اللذان يخطفان البصر ويتتبعان ما في بطون النساء
