His maternal uncle Abu Burdah bin Niyar slaughtered his sacrifice before the Prophet ﷺ had slaughtered. He said, "Messenger of Allah, this is a day on which meat is disliked, and I hurried my sacrifice so that I could feed my family, my neighbors, and my household."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Offer another sacrifice."He said, "Messenger of Allah, I have a young milk goat that is better than two sheep meant for meat."He said, "It is the better of your two sacrifices, but a young goat will not suffice for anyone after you."
حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى أخبرنا هشيم عن داود عن الشعبي
أن خاله أبا بردة بن نيار ذبح قبل أن يذبح النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إن هذا يوم اللحم فيه مكروه وإني عجلت نسيكتي لأطعم أهلي وجيراني وأهل داري فقال رسول الله ﷺ أعد نسكا فقال يا رسول الله إن عندي عناق لبن هي خير من شاتي لحم فقال هي خير نسيكتيك ولا تجزي جذعة عن أحد بعدك
