The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us on the Day of Sacrifice and said, "No one should slaughter until he has prayed."My maternal uncle said, "Messenger of Allah, this is a day on which meat is unwelcome."He then mentioned the rest of the report along the lines of the hadith of Hushaym.

خطبنا رسول الله ﷺ يوم النحر فقال لا يذبحن أحد حتى يصلي قال فقال خالي يا رسول الله إن هذا يوم اللحم فيه مكروه ثم ذكر بمعنى حديث هشيم
