When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the first circumambulation of the Kaaba, he would jog for three rounds and walk for four. When he made the sai between Safa and Marwa, he would run through the bottom of the valley. Ibn Umar used to do the same.

أن رسول الله ﷺ كان إذا طاف بالبيت الطواف الأول خب ثلاثا ومشى أربعا وكان يسعى ببطن المسيل إذا طاف بين الصفا والمروة وكان ابن عمر يفعل ذلك
