We set out with the Prophet ﷺ intending nothing but the Hajj. When we were at Sarif, or close to it, I began menstruating. The Prophet ﷺ came in to me while I was weeping and asked, "Have you started your period?"I said, "Yes."He said, "This is something Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. So perform all the rites the pilgrim performs, except do not circumambulate the House until you have bathed."She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sacrificed cows on behalf of his wives."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة وعمرو الناقد وزهير بن حرب جميعا عن ابن عيينة قال عمرو حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن عبد الرحمن بن القاسم عن أبيه
خرجنا مع النبي ﷺ ولا نرى إلا الحج حتى إذا كنا بسرف أو قريبا منها حضت فدخل علي النبي ﷺ وأنا أبكي فقال أنفست يعني الحيضة قالت قلت نعم قال إن هذا شيء كتبه الله على بنات آدم فاقضي ما يقضي الحاج غير أن لا تطوفي بالبيت حتى تغتسلي قالت وضحى رسول الله ﷺ عن نسائه بالبقر
