Abu Talha Ansari was praying in his walled garden when a dove flew in and began darting back and forth, looking for a way out. This delighted him, and he followed it with his eyes for a while. Then he returned to his prayer and found that he no longer knew how much of it he had performed.He said, "This property of mine has brought a trial upon me."So he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and told him about the trial that had befallen him in his garden, and he said, "Messenger of Allah, it is a charity for the sake of Allah, so place it wherever you wish."
و حدثني مالك
أن أبا طلحة الأنصاري كان يصلي في حائطه فطار دبسي فطفق يتردد يلتمس مخرجا فأعجبه ذلك فجعل يتبعه بصره ساعة ثم رجع إلى صلاته فإذا هو لا يدري كم صلى فقال لقد أصابتني في مالي هذا فتنة فجاء إلى رسول الله ﷺ فذكر له الذي أصابه في حائطه من الفتنة وقال يا رسول الله هو صدقة لله فضعه حيث شئت
